My name is Stephanie Doshier, and I am an Associate Certified Dyslexia Tutor in Decatur, AL. I specialize in the Orton-Gillingham approach, which is the gold standard approach to tutoring dyslexia.

I received my first Orton-Gillingham advanced training in 2016 at the Greengate School for Dyslexia in Huntsville, AL, and then began tutoring at a dyslexia center in a private school in North Alabama. I received my second Orton-Gillingham advanced training in 2020 through the American Association of Christian Schools. In 2021, I completed an 18-month practicum and earned my Associate Certification from the Orton-Gilllingham Academy in New York City. I now operate a private dyslexia tutoring practice called Bright Future Dyslexia Tutoring. I have been privileged to study under several brilliant Fellows in the dyslexia field who are credentialed from prestigious organizations such as The Orton-Gillingham Academy, The International Dyslexia Association, The Academic Language Therapy Association, The International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council, and The Center for Effective Reading Instruction, and I continue to be mentored by them as I seek to be the most effective tutor possible!

In 2024, I completed the specialist coursework to become an executive functioning and study skills coach. I studied under and continue to be mentored by Dr. Erica Warren, a highly respected learning specialist, author, and educational therapist.
